What's Up in STUCO?

What's Up in STUCO?
By Jarret Fox

Our 2014-2015 Chaparral STUCO, or Student Council, is a club in which the students vote who they want to represent their class or school. STUCO is also a club that involves hard work and determination to help raise school spirit and awareness. Even though I'm only a Freshman, I understand the importance of STUCO and the leadership you have to have in order to get significant objectives done.

This year before school started, the STUCO had their newly annual lock-in. The lock-in was a head start to coming up with ideas for this years activities. Even though the first nine weeks is over, there is still many things the Student Council is planning. This year's STUCO has been responsible for planning all the previous and future dances and also putting together class activities. Some activities include the class Olympics at the beginning of the year and the upcoming Halloween Locker Decorating Contest between the classes. For this year's "Light Show", on October 30, the STUCO will be selling glow sticks at the game against Conway Springs.

STUCO still has a lot more planned to make this year be a good year for all the Chaparral High School students and staff. To make the rest of this year memorable everyone is going to have to make every day count! Remember to follow this year's Student Council quote, "Don't Talk About It, Be About It!"
