This year for our musical, Mr. Kerschen has picked a very interesting thing to do this year. He has decided that the Chaparral Singers will put on a "Seussical". The Seussical is a musical version of classic Dr. Seuss. It will have titles from "Horton Hears a Who". The musical requires that they have an instrumental section. Ms. Lada has agreed that she will have the Jazz band play on the nights of the musical.

The Jazz band has just put on the fall concert with the choir. The Jazz band just got the new music for the musical and they are liking it. Some say, however, that it won't be as good as if they just play a recording, or hiring some professionals. Mr. Kerschen thinks otherwise. He thinks that it will give the play a better feel and make it more cartoon like. So they will play live behind the curtains.

Come to this year's Seussical on November 21st and 22nd at Chaparral High School. Tickets will be $4 for adults and $2 for students and can bring student ID’s to get in for free. We hope to see you all there at the 2014 Chaparral Singers Annual Musical.
