Football Playoffs!

Thursday October 30th the Chaparral Roadrunner football team played the Conway Springs Cardinals. Conway was ranked 2nd in the state of Kansas in 3A football, Chaparral was ranked 10th. It was a very exciting game here at Chaparral which ended in Chaparral winning 27 to 19. The loss dropped Conway to 8-1 while improving Chaparral to 8-1.
The first playoff game for Chaparral was Tuesday November, 4th They played the Blustem Lions. Chaparral won 47-15. Roger Clark caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Shawn Nulik who accounted for all but 6 of the teams points. Chaparral advanced to play Halstead on Saturday, November 8th, losing with a score of 36 to 27.
It was a hard fought and well played game by the roadrunners but they just couldn't stop Halsteads powerful running game. The loss eliminated Chaparral from the playoffs, ending their season with 9 wins and 2 losses.
